The tree’s extension in the top right corner of the photo lends a character to the lifeless ruins. Watching the tree makes my thoughts stray along the familiar lines – Has the tree been the witness of the glory of the Vijaynagar Empire? Could it speak, it must have told a thousand stories, way much different from Historians.

It is interesting to note your observation, Anamika. The tree must have been there years ago and seen things that we can only imagine. So much of history still remains to be uncovered. I too had similar thoughts while walking on those cobbled streets.

Lovely capture 😀 I have heard so much about Hampi and it’s architecture.

Thank you so much, Raj. Hampi is a delight in many ways. My camera went nuts with so much to capture in Hampi. 😀
