Treading the Path | #wordlessWednesday

It was one of those days when your inner doubts bubble up, and you realise you have to nip it in the bud, but can’t. Well, at least, I tried to not let them spin out of control or grow from a whisper to a stream of discouraging sentences.

I did reprimand myself—”No way, not going down that route now.” But, who listens? A couple of attempts to drown the dissonance and finally, it worked.

Challenged the thought pattern that was acting as a catalyst and stopped that inner self-doubter from taking over, even though the mood was generally crappy for the most part of the day.

And then, as if by divine providence, this image of the buddha popped up out of nowhere and as I looked at it, a sense of calm descended on my soul. On the face of it nothing changed, and yet, something within me did.

Could I have thought of a better picture? No. Could I have shared a better message? Doubt it. So here is my #WordlessWednesday picture of the week and my message of the week:

“Doubt everything. Find your own light.”

May you too find the peace and calm to sustain yourself through the everyday chaos, as I hope to do for myself. Have a blessed rest of the week, folks.

I shall be visiting every linky on our blog hop from last week and this week as well and request you do the same.

Thank you so much, Rajlakshmi. It was nearly impossible to get back to a state of calm but ultimately, life does manage to surprise us at times. Glad the sight lifted me up from despair.

I’m needing to find a new path as I approach retirement. I hope to find my new light soon.

I do hope and pray that you may find your light very soon, Alana! Often, the path eludes us but also reappears when we need it the most! So, stay hopeful!
