The Earth has its music for those who will listen.
A road trip taken last month brought me back into the lap of nature once again. We traveled for seven days across the cities, small towns and little-known clusters of remote villages, down wide roads and narrow alleys and found bliss in the most unexpected places. There were rain clouds following us everywhere as we traversed the length and breadth of the state, as the sky changed hues and the familiar trees changed shapes. What remained the same was that there was beauty all around, for us to observe, enjoy and capture. Nature speaks in the most enchanting of all languages and our hearts were eager to lap it all up – the sights, the sounds and the smell of the unfamiliar places. But, that’s another post saved for the future.
Today, sharing a favourite shot of mine, taken on the day of travel, just as we were about to leave the city limits. The image of the tree reminds me of the thrill of the road trip once more! Do you love road trips too?

I love the way you’ve linked up the tree with your journey. Great tree shot too. I remember in the old days trees along the road were either picnic spots or sadly toilet spots as there weren’t any toilets on the road ! I didn’t much care for road trips simply for this reason. It was hard travelling for hours T a stretch without going to the loo

Thanks a lot, Sunita. As I was traveling that morning, my eyes were scanning the landscape for trees of every kind. Its an old habit with me when I go on trips, I usually do that. At a certain juncture on the road, our vehicle took a turn and suddenly I saw this sight before me. I can understand your predicament while going on road trips. Fortunately, here, we find many roadside cafes and hotels which allow us loo breaks every now and then. It does help when you can do that, I totally agree.

You reminded me of our childhood when we used to wander aimlessly around…Saltlake used to be so green then…I especially used to love the black sky just before Kalbaishakhi..and from our balcony the view used to be amazing before, during and after rain…do you remember?

Yes, Tina. Such memories…so much of our past we seem to carry within us al the time and they come out in the shape of fond recollections, don’t they? I do recall them very vividly often and tell Arjyo about those days.

So many stories going on in my head, Tina. Oh yes, that UFO incident…suddenly, looking back, it brought a smile to my lips!!!
