The Coconut Trees – #ThursdayTreeLove – 13

2763 Views 35 Comments

This tree shot was taken on my phone, yesterday, while checking the weather, before I actually set off for my morning walk. The sky was overcast and it seemed as if it would start pouring any minute, but the grey clouds hung suspended, looming overhead as if not ready for the downpour yet. I couldn’t decide whether to go or not — The head said NO, but the heart said YES. And, then, I got my answer from the two coconut trees that stood right in front of me, ready to brave any weather.

Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what! Get started NOW.

Wow! Great pic! In my case, when faced with looming rain before a walk, its usually the heart that says no but head says yes… 😉

    • Esha M Dutta

That’s interesting to know, Archana. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I’ve seen a coconut tree perhaps twice in my life (in Florida). I loved that picture. Says “tropics” and “vacation” to me.

    • Esha M Dutta

Ah, you could do both by planning a trip to India, Alana. You’ll see coconut trees mostly everywhere in the coastal areas. 🙂

That’s a quintessential Bangalore shot, isn’t it? Loved that tussle and then how you acted upon what you wanted to do. In the battle of head and heart, like you, I let the heart win 🙂

    • Esha M Dutta

It is, Parul. I know what you mean. Sometimes it’s ok for the head to give in when the heart rules wisely!

A beautiful capture, as usual and a profound thought to chew on. It pays to seize the moment and having little trust in tomorrow.

It sure does, Shilpa. Glad to see you stopping by and share your thoughts! Thanks 🙂

Stunning. So glad you listened to nature and not your mind. Goes to show how important it is to stay attuned to nature and the listen to it when it speaks to us.

    • Esha M Dutta

Thank you, Natasha. Yes, you’re right. Some days, we only seem to have the questions…the answers come from elsewhere.

      • Natasha

Oh yes, more often than not😊
