  • The 4 year milestone!😀 Miles to go on this path but so glad I took to putting my thoughts down and set off on this beautiful journey back then. I’ve blogged in joy, blogged in pain, and blogged while grappling with unresolved mysteries, niggling self-doubts and what not. In the process, I got so much more than I thought I ever would -thanks to the beautiful friendships made along the way, the love and support of fellow bloggers and comrades who stayed even through my silences, despite the long blogging breaks and absences.   • The newest residents in our block. 🐱🐱 My son adores them no less than I do. We can’t ever seem to walk past them without watching the antics of the little kitty prancing about while the mommy keeps an eye as she basks in the sun. . . Their favourite haunt is the little stretch of grass next to the security gate at the entrance of our building. But, occasionally you may find them curiously looking at the passers by, comfortable in the knowledge that they have been accepted as one of us. . .   • Marigold mornings on a sunlit balcony! As much as the things that weigh on our minds and as real as the fears that haunt us are the fleeting moments of joy in our lives, to savour and be thankful for. While much of what happens to us is beyond our control, how we respond to that is within us. Every morning, when the fog slowly lifts and the sun comes shining through, the greyness dissolves and the marigolds look brighter than ever, lighting up my balcony. Just the perfect place to sit with a cup of tea and my morning read! I know...I’d love to do that but the morning chores that are an absolute must, wait for me until I can sit at my desk at peace and begin work. . . Grateful for the sunlight. Grateful for the blooms.   • What’s not to love something as pretty as this beautiful flower? . 🌺 Fresh blooms always bring me happiness, even more so when they are from the garden I tend to! My beautiful red hibiscus is a one-day wonder that blooms and is gone by 24 hours! But, before it wilts away it leaves me with a beautiful message to make the most of the day and not fret over what’s not going according to plan.   • “Let go. Surrender. Go for the ride of your life. Do it everyday.” . . I admit, in all honesty, it isn’t easy to let go and surrender always. Definitely not an everyday thing. Some days are just not meant to be that way. . This morning it took me quite an effort to calm my ruffled mind and draw out my inner zen, and bring it to the fore. My sunset pictures help me do that most effortlessly. Took me many years to figure out how and why to make #selfcare a priority in the midst of so much action that constantly keeps happening around us. . Sky watching is meditation for me. It heals, and helps me live more mindfully. It helps soften the blows that come from the school of hard knocks and makes me hopeful. Have you made #selfcare a priority?
