Sunset Skies at Schotia | #SkywatchFriday

Happy to be back with another #SkywatchFriday post, after what seems like ages!

Just the other day, I was pondering over some of my beautiful twilight sky pictures and the thought crossed my mind that I hadn’t posted for #SkywatchFriday in a very long time. There has been a lot going at my end and I’ve had a lot going, so much so that I even had to put off blogging for a while. Sadly, sky watching and photography quietly receded into oblivion. If it weren’t for two blogging challenges, that I joined in, I’d not be here today, chatting with you and sharing my sky pictures.

So, this morning as I sipped into my beaten coffee, a little bit of indulgence took place. I strolled down memory lane to those magical days from a few weeks back and found great joy reliving our trip to South Africa that we took in April, this year. It brought me a warm feeling even if the sky outside was all grey and cold. I found bliss in the thought and a great comfort in every little recollection that passed. But, more than anything, I realised these are the moments that I would always hold onto because I share them with those I love and they mean everything to me. They always will.

“Live for moments you can’t put into words.”

Today, I bring you two favourite sky shots of mine. These were taken during an evening safari at one of oldest private game reserves in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, bordering the eastern side of Addo Elephant National Park.

Going forward, #Skywatch posts will be a regular feature on the blog and I’m looking forward to sharing more glimpses of Mother Nature from our everyday lives, as well as those from our recent travels! Stay tuned and keep enjoying beauty around you, wherever you are!

The sky holds so much beauty if we just remember to look! It’s so true that moments are a wonderful thing to hold onto and to consider at a later date. I love that we are able to get photos of some of them, too.

Oh, yes, the sky is one amazing source of beauty, never too far from wherever we are but we fail to look at it sometimes, don’t we? Yes, glad that photos help us preserve the moments we so treasure throughout our lives.

Beautiful skies. Glad to hear you will be participating more often in Skywatch as it’s fun to look at the sky in other lands.

Thank you so much, Joyful. Yes, happy to be back. There’s so much beauty in thsi world…it’s a shame we tend to go looking elsewhere when it is right before us.
