Today, sharing a beautiful sunset taken last week, in the midst of a few experimentations with the much-neglected DSLR, that was brought out after a long time. The two shots were taken one after another – a wide view angle and a close-up. What do you think of them? Which do you think is the better of the two?
I was happy that I had the time to explore and having the DSLR handy was great. It was lovely watching the sky and unwinding. I don’t know about you, but for me, such moments make me deeply grateful for the fact that we actually have a means to capture such a transitory thing as a sunset that only lasts a very short while in the sky but captured forever, through our images, continues to give us the same joy every time we see them. Isn’t it amazing?
Well, the weekend is almost here, so here’s wishing all you lovely people a wonderful time. Enjoy, relax and take the time out to do whatever it is that makes you happy. See you next week! 🙂

I loved the first one. I am convinced that the sky in your area is more beautiful with vibrant colours and hues. Just kidding 😀

Yes, you are right, The sky does come up with bright colours in my part of the world and I always happen to catch it at the right time it seems! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, Jim. I think I did the right thing by using the camera rather than the phone this time! 🙂

What a beautiful sunset. I liked both photos, but liked #2 better – both for the color, and for the “skyline”, which gave it good contrast.
Esha M Dutta
Thank you, Alana. We are blessed with these random moments of skywatching every now and then, esp at dawn and dusk. Why am I not surprised that you like #2 better ?!

Thank you so much, Tina! Glad you think so dear. I’ve a long long way to go before I can call myself either a writer or a photographer! Any appreciation is always a bonus. 🙂
