#Skywatch Friday #9

When it comes to photography, I love a good capture especially if it happens to be that of the sky. Now that I’ve had a taste of the sky, I feel there’s nothing quite like it in comparison. The shapes of the clouds, the changing hues and the vast expanse above is intensely liberating and mesmerising at the same time…a heady mix…quite eclectic!

Someone once told me to always live for the little things in life. Live for 6am sunrises and 6pm sunsets where you’ll see colours in the sky that don’t usually belong. Live for road trips and bike rides with music in your ears and the wind in your hair. Live for days when you’re surrounded by people who make you realise that the world is not a cold harsh place. Live for the little things for they will make you realise that this is what life is about, this is what it means to be alive.

Today, I’m sharing a shot from one of my memorable trips to that merging point of sun, sand and sea, the magical land of susegad (derived from the Portuguese word “sossegado”ย ย or quiet)…you guessed it right…it is indeed Goa, which some refer to as South Asia’s Latin Quarter! The swirling clouds and the swaying palm against the backdrop of a golden sunset by the Arabian Sea…!

I have come to visit your blog again and again.. I love the way you express profound thoughts in so simple words .. love your writings..

I love spending time on the terrace during Saturday evenings.. the only time I get to be at home in a week.. love sunsets.. love to watch pigeons and crows encircling the sky close overhead.. love to feel the evening breeze and watch the horizon fade away into darkness and light up with the twinkling city lights..

Thank you so much Pratikshya for your warm words of appreciation! I’m so glad that my writings were able to touch you in some way…Lovely descriptions with which you describe nature. I can totally relate because I also find a lot of bliss in the outdoor world…that magical hour of dusk and twilight is always a wonder to me even now as much as it was in my childhood! See you again @ Soul Talk ๐Ÿ™‚
