Hello there! Back to Friday and another Skywatch post. This time I’m talking about why skywatching is one of the best stress-busting activities you’ll ever do.
You’ve perhaps never given it a thought that skywatching can be as therapeutic as meditation. To begin with, no other activity can make you feel more at one with nature. I often indulge myself by capturing sky views of the horizon that I enjoy from my home. It gives me peace and I love how I can practice mindfulness while partaking in an activity that cleanses and purges me off the sluggishness and weariness of the day going by.
In these moments, I seem to gain an inner peace and quiet that brings me close to myself, fills me with a deep sense of gratitude as I realise how privileged I am to be able to have a glimpse of the beautiful sky, from the comforts of my home, in its’ ever-changing magical moments. The more I think, the more it dawns on me, that in our fast-paced digital world, these are the very moments that are to be treasured. Don’t you think so? Doesn’t cost us anything and yet gives us so much to be thankful for!
Sharing some shots of the skyline from this week, which I hope you’ll enjoy – sometimes pastel, often contrasting, at times bright and the ever-changing hues of a March sky.
The feeling of being part of the universe fills me with awe, wonder and humility. At the same time, it also makes me realise how insignificant my presence is, in the larger scheme of things. Have you ever felt that way? Does nature give you a sense of belonging?
As always, I look forward to your valuable comments and feedback. Wishing you all a relaxed weekend ahead and see you soon.

Moments to be treasured. Oneness with the universe expressed with so much stillness and passion.

Thanks a lot, Vishal. Nothing quite as comforting as you can see. 🙂

I agree, Esha, sky watching is therapeutic. I have experienced that long ago in my teen years. In fact, I have a post sitting in my draft folder about my mind’s safe space. Those are some beautiful clicks, Esha. I love them all, soothing captures.

Thanks a ton for your words of appreciation, and stopping by to share your thoughts, Vinitha. So glad you enjoy skywatching too. I would love to read that post of yours that is still sitting quietly in the folder. Why don’t you post it for the #MondayMusings?

Lovely captures, as always. Such a variety of colors in your shots! Did you click all these from your home? There’s no doubt that watching nature is therapeutic. Calming experience.

Thank you so much, Arv. Yes, all shot from home. Living on a higher floor helps. Sadly, too many constructions going on around and I’m worried my sky views are going to be affected very soon. 🙁

I can understand. Cities like Bangalore and Mumbai face these issues, commonly. Even here, I face this problem. Living in a bungalow in such cities also has a pitfall. I no longer get to see the sun, around sunrise. Thanks to so many buildings around. Unless I drive out of town, its just impossible to witness a sunrise.

Oh yes, totally understand this situation too. Some of my friends who live in bungalows or ground floor apartments have the same complaint. Got to live with it I guess. Or travel out more often, perhaps 🙂

True. No options. For me, its all about driving out of town!

Thank you so much Bettyl! So lovely to see you stop by and share your thoughts. Nature is marvellous isn’t it…we could never match its varied palette of colours, could we?
