“Everything I was, I carry with me, everything I will be, lies waiting on the road ahead.”
― Red Dust: A Path Through China
This one was taken when we were making our way back to Cape Town after a six-day drive along the scenic Garden Route! Till date, it remains one of our most beautiful journeys ever. Over the six days of travel, we were blessed to find that our joy came from our many exceptional and exciting encounters with new experiences, in a new place every day. What a thrill it was to have an endlessly changing horizon, and for each day to have a new and different sun. The memories remain and the many stories are meant to be recounted another day, to be shared and savoured for as long as we live.
What’s your favourite journey? And where did that take you? What’s the best thing you remember from it?

That’s gorgeous!
I don’t remember a single journey that affected me as much as my time in Scotland.
Hope all is well with you, and the stressful times have made a pause and given you some respite.
Hugs, Esha.

Thank you so much. Glad to know that your journey in Scotland was one-of-a-kind! I’m sure it has inspired you in more ways than one.
As for me, it’s been a constant struggle between pinning hope on the one hand and preparing to face the worst on the other. Still waiting for some respite. Thank you so much for your kind words, Damyanti
Love and hugs

It’s always the same thing with me, you know, Esha…When I visit your Wordless Wednesday posts, more than the pictures, I love your words! It’s your words that sweep me off my feet! <3
And, to be able to write this beautifully when you have your mind under constant stress….lady, you are special!

My most memorable journey was driving Big Sur on the Pacific Coast Highway in the US. It was my very first trip overseas!
Lovely photo, Esha.

Beautiful post! Anything unfamiliar excites me. Wherever I go, I find myself searching for unfamiliarity.
Esha
Thank you, Shiju. So kind of you to say so. I’m a great fan of your shots and I love how you infuse so much depth into each and every capture of yours!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.

So many Wordless Wednesdays to enjoy. Is that a tree in the center of your shot? A road of unknown adventure?
Esha
Oh yes, Colleen…many #wws to enjoy, that’s right! That is indeed a cluster of trees in the centre. Well spotted! The road is a desolate country road close to a wildlife reserve where the BIG Five are most commonly seen.
Alana
I’ve taken many journeys in my 66 years but one of the favorite ones is right outside my front door. I love your road picture, especially the colors of the mountains.
Esha
So glad to hear that, Alana! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy many more such amazing journeys for the rest of your life. Happy to see you stop by the blog.
Cheers
