Balmy Blue Skies |#WordlessWednesday

3302 Views 22 Comments

If it weren’t for the looming dark clouds above our heads, blue skies would never have been so magical. To yearn for something better and staying hopeful is wired within our systems. Reminds me, we go through both good and bad moments. But strangely, we hardly ever look at the best moments of our lives except in retrospect. Ever wondered why?

A throwback moment: Walking under balmy blue skies in Osaka, one beautiful April morning.

The weather was gorgeous, we were happy and everything was just as it should have been. Now, reflecting on that day and asking myself—”Did we realise that day, how precious that moment was, for us?”

Such a lovely photograph Esha! I love taking photos of the sky. I only wish I do it often!! 🙂 It is true we don’t realize at that moment except enjoy the beauty of it. The memories always spring later.

What a beautiful reminder to remember the good times . You are right about only recalling bad times. Possibly we are more affected by bad times hence we can’t forget them . Very rarely do good times impact our lives. We just feel good about them so we don’t bother much about them unless we are recalling the good old days or reminiscing shared happy memories.

Such beautiful pictures Esha! And that’s a poignant question – do we take it for granted during that moment? Hopefully you actually did savour it

    WOW! Stunning photos, Esha.

How true! I guess that’s just human nature – we always yearn for something better and bigger.

You’re so right and I wonder if part of that reason is we don’t recognize the importance of certain moments until (sometimes) years later. In the same way, we can be in physical pain during a moment of happiness and, years later, we only remember the happiness – not the pain.

    Such a beautiful day, Esha!
True, we rarely are happy for the perfect moments we experience but are very aware of the unhappy ones. The unhappy ones are which consume us when we go through them, but never the happy ones,. They just pass us by and we don’t even notice!
