A photo and a memory—about a wonderful day spent at the Cape Winelands,’ one of the most well-known wineries of South Africa, which indulges visitors to one of the most sought-after wine-tasting sessions where one can sample some of the best wines from the region.
While I’d have loved to savour the local wine, I decided to leave the wine tasting to the better half, savouring in the gorgeous views instead. The gently rolling mountains towered all around us, and as far as the eye could see, there were long stretches of vineyards that went down in neat rows, all along the slopes. The weather was perfect and the warmth of the winter Sun in early April seemed to tell us that we were in the right place at the right time. Another moment, frozen in time— to treasure later.
No wine, and well, no migraine, but heady all the same! How cool was that?!
