Welcome to Wordless Wednesday!
It’s great to be back after a three-week hiatus. Natasha and I hope we will have many more linkups this week now that many of you are done with the #AtoZChallenge. Well, hopefully, and why not! B’coz, all it takes is a picture to link up and that’s no big deal because most of us have hundreds of photos that are ready to be shared with the world. It’s wordless alright but words are no deterrent. I usually do wordless, but this week, I’m breaking the rules because I want you to meet somebody. Somebody from another part of the world that you might like to meet. Are we good to go, then?
Everyone who has travelled will agree that leaving our comfort zones and reaching for the unknown teaches us so much, perhaps, way more than what we imagine in our wildest dreams. Two weeks back, when I was in South Africa, I met this little creature for the very first time—an amazing little nimble-footed rodent-like creature that we kept encountering every now and then as we trailed up rocky mountain paths. We were so taken in by these cute little creatures, especially my 13-year-old (who wanted to bring one home!) but being shy, they would hide behind crevices and we only barely caught their glimpse, as is evident in this picture. 🙂
Well, here’s the Rock Hyrax or the Dassie as they are popularly called in South Africa. It is the African elephant’s closest living relative, believe it or not, (yes, in spite of the size difference).
New to #WordlessWednesday, but would like to join the fun? Here’s how you can join Natasha and me. This week we decided to leave the linky open for a fortnight. This was done with a view to encourage more participation from everyone. Hence, this week’s linky stays open until May 15th, Tuesday. You may add as many posts as you may wish. As we always say, the more, the merrier.
If you are game, here’s what you got to do—just follow our three easy steps:
- Post a picture that speaks for itself. It could be from your adventures, experiments, life’s quirky moments, travels or just plain random shots. Absolutely anything that stoked your being.
- We will be happy if you add our badge to your post and a backlink to the posts of the hosts.
- Do read, comment and share all the posts linked here.
Will see you again in two weeks’ time!
See you on the other side of the frame.
Happy #WW 🙂
