Of Cassias in bloom and blue skies

“A Walk in Nature Walks the Soul Back Home.”

So goes a saying. Not wrong, when you think of how much more you can receive from the Mother Earth without even seeking anything. I feel blessed to be amidst so much beauty and so, despite life being tough on some days, spending time with Nature works like a balm on a tired soul. The joys of skywatching come manifold and the peace quietens and calms the raging mind. Mindfulness in practice helps to heal all the cracks within. After years of struggle one realises that healing happens best when in the midst of Nature. Have you felt the same?

This week, I bring you some recent sky shots from my city. Spring might be upon us but it feels more like summer here in Bangalore. The soaring mercury levels sends us into a tizzy by mid-morning and if you are out and about, it can be nothing short of a torture. But, I’m not complaining, because all said and done, March is beautiful. We usually have a mix of beautiful sunrises and gorgeous sunsets in this city and now, thanks to some bright and beautiful mornings after a rather cold winter, I make it a point to go out and spend my precious minutes in the heart of Nature minus the phone. So, photography is now secondary to mindfulness in practice. That way I can keep distractions minimal and soak in the sights and sounds of nature.

The Cassia blooms are aplenty everywhere you go in the city and they are changing colours, starting from a shade of almost white and now, within a span of a week, turning a tad darker.

The blooms are so colourful and the contrast against the blue skies just heightens their beauty even more. Yesterday I had to remind myself to nip out and grab a few shots before they are gone in the next few days. So, here they are. The photography isn’t good, let me confess. Will work on that later. For now, I hope you’ll like them.

And, lastly, here’s one of the beautiful blue skies that make me go dizzy with happiness. Few things cheer me up so intensely as the bright blue beautiful skies. Blessed, truly blessed that I get to see this!

That’s all for today, folks. Hope you have a great weekend. To all my SkywatchFriday friends and fellow bloggers, a gentle reminder to please follow this new blog, if you haven’t still. Bye for now. See you next week. 🙂

The sky has been gorgeous! Some days the sunset is unbelievably stunning. Thanks for sharing, Esha. And that quote’s perfect.
By the way, some photos are not loading.

Bangalore feels so much like summer now, I agree. As much as the heat is annoying, these blooms and the pretty skies make up for it.

    Well captured, Esha.

Thanks for stopping by, Soumya. The colours look so pretty and they are everywhere, all over the city! These beautiful blooms make up for what we’re losing in this city these days—so much of digging happening all over making the city dusty and dirty!

Love the shots and like you, I also have to go get a few shots before it’s too late. I love Bangalore’s flowers and as much as the heat is getting on to me, the beauty around makes me smile.

Thanks, Parul. Hope you managed to get the shots you were planning to take. The Cassia blooms stay for a very short period of time. But they will be back again in Sep/Oct I guess. The beauty of these blooms has given Bangalore a much-needed face-lift, no?

Oh, yes, the heat is just too much and most people do not like it. The blooms are pretty though!
