Whenever you find yourself doubting how far you can go, just remember how far you have come. Remember everything you have faced, all the battles you have won, and all the fears you have overcome.
Another week of juggling around with numerous commitments at the work front, I find myself torn between the horns of the dilemma all too often. With niggling self-doubts trailing behind I’m drawing positivity from this thought that I’m sharing with you today. Well, at least, I’m hopeful that this might give you the sense of calm and some reassurance that we could all do with, if you’re feeling anything like me at the moment.
My week got off to a bumpy start but improved over the middle of the week. I definitely felt more in control and happy with many of the choices I had made. Most of it paid off—the decision to focus on the priorities for the day and the few mindful minutes in the midst of a busy work schedule took the pressure off to a great extent. I also managed to spend some quality time with folks who mattered the most. But, what really made me feel better was that much-needed break from social media for most part of the week. Thankful for the fact that despite the odds, the week will close on a positive note tomorrow. And, if all goes well, more creative experimentations over the weekend, that I’m eagerly looking forward to. More on that coming in my gratitude post.
Today, I bring you some colourful #skywatch shots from my part of the world. One can never have enough of gorgeous skies, and we had plenty of them this week. Woke up to the magic of sombre mornings giving way to beautiful sunrises over multi-layered clouds and then, there were golden dusks wth a splash of gold spreading out against a pale blue sky. Some days the fading daylight lingered a little longer than the usual. And occasionally, a brilliant dash of red spread across the skyline, as we watched from the four corners of the city, each of us soaking in some magic and some memories of the evening slipping by. It came as a surprise —the odds, I mean…that I did manage to capture some nice shots in the early hours even though I was mostly running after a sleep deprived teenager rushing him through his typical school day. The views, as always, stunning and mesmerising. Here are some shots…
Normally all the pictures I share on the blog are taken by me. But, the last image is a special capture taken by J, my better half, on his way back from work on Tuesday. The lake is very close to his office and apparently, the traffic snarls that day were so bad, that he had no choice but to capture this gorgeous sight. Notice the reflections on the water. So pretty, isn’t it? Hard to imagine that this is the same lake that keeps catching fire because of the effluents that are dumped on it from the surrounding areas. Sad to say, but that’s Bangalore these days!
I do hope you enjoyed these pictures and they will inspire you to set aside a few mindful moments for yourself too, wherever you are. If you are joining with your sky shots, do leave your links for me in the comments below so that I can visit your blog too!
Until then, have a great week and a wonderful weekend, folks. 😊 Happy Skywatching!! To all my SkywatchFriday friends and fellow bloggers, a gentle reminder to please follow this new blog, if you still haven’t. Thank you all. 🙂
