#Thursday TreeLove -15

Another page from my #travel diary…this time, a tree shot taken during a cruise on the mighty lake Vembanad, at Kumarakom, in Kerala. I wanted to capture the cormorants in flight and was trying to focus on the branches when I noticed that the tree actually stood right in the middle of the lake— as if it had sprung up from the water. Not surprising, when you know that Vembanad is actually an artificial lake!

When the birds flew out together it was a truly a sight to behold! I might have missed a few crucial moments in my eagerness to capture this in my frame.

Thank you so much dear! <3 I think it was a truly beautiful sight and all I could think of at that moment was to capture it in my frame, to enjoy later. Kumarakom is very beautiful…you must visit the place to believe how green and beautiful it is!

I did not know that Vembanad lkae is an artificial lake. It is surprising that the tree is green standing in the midst of the water. The birds flying out makes the photo an amazing capture.

Wow! Its tough to capture birds in flight and this is an amazing capture!! The tree looks wonderful. It must have adapted to survive amid so much water…

Thank you so much, Archana. The tree has certainly adapted itself to the water, as most things in nature do!
It was a bit tricky getting that shot right, Archana…you are right!
